SIL 2001
To see and experience first hand the weird and wonderful limnology of Australia, plan on attending the 28th Congress of SIL (SIL 2001). The Congress will be held in Melbourne at the Clayton campus of Monash University from 4 – 10 February 2001.
The first circular was mailed in August. The second circular (final) will be sent out in May 2000 and will contain information about: registration, accommodation, mid-congress excursions, pre and post congress tours, submission of abstracts, and the oral and poster sessions. To receive the second circular contact the Congress Manager by post, fax or e-mail (addresses, page 11) before May 1, 2000.
A series of special sessions will also be held. If you wish to suggest a topic for a special session or chair a special session, please send the following details: name of topic, chair person(s), postal and e-mail addresses of chairperson(s) to the Congress Manager. These details will be included in the second circular so that participants can nominate their paper for one of these sessions.
It is our intention that registration for the congress, submission of abstracts and the booking of accommodation will be available through our web site: www.monash.edu.au/oce/sil2001. Please check this site for regular updates about the organisation of SIL 2001.
