Aquatic photosynthesis ecologist. My main interests are the ecophysiology and photoecology of algae and cyanobacteria, particularly what eco-evolutionary principles shape photosynthetic traits. I work with algal cultures, field sampling in lakes, chlorophyll a fluorescence, pigment HPLC, optical components of natural waters, geospatial analysis and light field modelling. Currently I am studying benthic mats and cyanobacteria cultures of polar environments, as well studying the pigment dynamics of phytoplankton in freshwater reservoirs of Uruguay.
