I am an aquatic biologist studying plankton biogeochemistry and ecology. My research aims to understand the function of phytoplankton and zooplankton in carbon and nitrogen cycling through sinking particle production and the interaction with microorganisms. My research has been based on observational and experimental work in the Southeast Pacific Ocean, the Subarctic Ocean, and currently in temperate shallow lakes. I enjoy disseminating scientific knowledge to society and working to make science an inclusive and diverse place.
