Prior to the 2010 Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, presentations made in SIL congresses have been published in full in the Proceedings (Verhandlungen Internationale Vereinigung für theoretische und angewandte Limnologie) in English, French, or German. The Proceedings of a congress, in large volumes of over 3,500 pages, appeared approximately 18 months from the time of the meetings. These Proceedings gave readers recent views on the major problems and controversies in limnology as well as a comprehensive summary of much of the current research in the field of freshwater biology.
The Proceedings are now available online in fully searchable pdf format and can be accessed at the Taylor & Francis SIL Proceedings homepage.
